This policy explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It covers the website only — if you visit the shop in person or contact us another way, the same common-sense principles apply: we use your details to help you, and we don't sell them.

What we collect through the website

When you use the quote / contact form we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, an optional phone number, the service you're asking about, and any message you write. We don't ask for more than we need to reply to you.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

We use these details only to respond to your enquiry — to give you a quote, answer your question or arrange a repair. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is sent to our own shop mailbox (techgeekfeltham@gmail.com). A small number of trusted service providers help deliver the website and that email — an email-delivery provider passes the message to our inbox, and an anti-spam check helps keep bots out. They process the data only to provide that service and not for their own purposes. We do not sell your information or share it for third-party marketing.

Analytics

Any website analytics we use is privacy-friendly and cookie-free — it helps us understand roughly how many people visit and which pages are useful. It doesn't build a profile of you or track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages only as long as we need them to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. After that we delete them. If you go on to use our repair or buyback service, separate shop records apply.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email techgeekfeltham@gmail.com and we'll sort it out. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

If we change how we handle your information we'll update this page and the date at the top.
